I stopped in at Pigskin Brewing Company near Columbus, Ohio for dinner and a beer (well, a flight of beers, because I couldn’t decide). Dinner included Tomato Soup and Buffalo Chicken Flatbread. Both were delicious. I enjoyed Undefeated IPA, Cream of the Crop Cream Ale, Highland Games Scottish Ale, and Passion Fruit Gose. I enjoyed these beers. The gose was my least favorite. The cream ale is a light and easy drinking beer. Tasty. The Undefeated IPA is a solid IPA. I very much enjoyed the Scottish Ale. Malty deliciousness.

The Actual Brewing Company, Columbus, OH
I stopped in at The Actual Brewing Company in Columbus, Ohio. It’s not easy to locate. But it’s worth the stop. Fat Julian Imperial Stout is amazing. It’s rich in chocolate flavor. Well worth the time spent looking for it!
I stopped in again and found tremendous progress. I tasted Thermal Conductor Habanero IPA. This must be the HOTTEST beer I’ve ever tasted. I could have gone with this. Really. I’m not weak. But, it was late. I wasn’t in the mood. And, the bartender recommended the Wiener-Munchen Festival Lager which was delicious. Smooth. Malty. Perfect for my mood and the time of day. Relaxing. Can’t wait to stop back again!
Land Grant Brewing Company, Columbus, OH
I stopped in at Land Grant Brewing Company in Columbus, Ohio. I took the opportunity to call into a conference call and catch up on some e-mail. While there I enjoyed the Session 71 session IPA and the Son of a Mudder Brown Ale. Wow! Both were great. And the bartender was really nice and helped me decide which beers and accommodated my working right at the bar. Great experience. I’d stop in here again!
Wolf’s Ridge Brewing, Columbus, OH
I stopped in at Wolf’s Ridge Brewing in Columbus, Ohio and enjoyed the Driftwood Session IPA. I enjoy session IPA’s because they are often “lighter” and not as heavy as traditional IPA’s. This was very drinkable and full of flavor.
Barley’s Brewing Company, Columbus, OH
I stopped in at Barley’s Brewing Company in Columbus, Ohio and tried the Chupacabra Imperial Brown Ale. This is a tasty beer. I was hoping for even more vanilla and chocolate influence but regardless it was very good.
Hoof Hearted Brewery & Kitchen, Columbus, OH
I stopped in at Hoof Hearted Brewery & Kitchen in Columbus, Ohio and enjoyed their Rose Gose. It was almost like drinking a rose wine but tangier and saltier which brings out the gose flavor. If you’re into this style I’d recommend this beer.
Seventh Son Brewing Company, Columbus, OH
I stopped in at Seventh Son Brewing Company in Columbus, Ohio and tried the Proliferous Double IPA based on the bartender’s recommendation and I was not disappointed. This is a very tasty double IPA and also very drinkable – which could be a dangerous combination. Well worth the stop!
North High Brewing, Columbus, OH
I just had to try the Purple Grain Ale at North High Brewing in Columbus, Ohio. The blackberries added to the color and flavor of this ale. Very refreshing for the summer heat. Not too fruity but the blackberry flavor was definitely there.
Zauber Brewing Company, Columbus, OH
I stopped in at Zauber Brewing Company in Columbus, Ohio and enjoyed their Vertigo Hefeweizen. Although this is not my go-to style, it was recommended by the bartender and I really enjoyed their beer. I definitely get the spice flavors – clove, etc – in the beer. I stopped with one so vertigo was no problem for me 😉
Four String Brewing Company, Columbus, OH
I stopped in at Four String Brewing Company in Columbus, Ohio and enjoyed their Brass Knuckle Pale Ale. It’s a knockout! What a great beer to enjoy. Well-balanced. Easy to drink.
