I stopped in at Barley’s Brewing Company in Columbus, Ohio and tried the Chupacabra Imperial Brown Ale. This is a tasty beer. I was hoping for even more vanilla and chocolate influence but regardless it was very good.

Legend Brewing Company, Richmond, VA
I stopped in Legend Brewing Company in Richmond, Virginia with a colleague for dinner and a beer. We greatly enjoyed dinner on their deck in wonderful weather – thankful for a clear day after dozens of days of rain. We each enjoyed great salads – Cobb and Greek. We paired them with the brown ale and my buddy also enjoyed an imperial brown ale. Both the food and the beers were delightful and enjoying them outdoors overlooking the James River in Richmond made it all the better.
The Beer Research Institute, Phoenix, AZ
I stopped in The Beer Research Institute in Phoenix, Arizona for some higher education. I learned that Morning Sex is good (sweet and delicious coffee sweet stout) and that Dirty Jesus is strong (imperial brown ale).
The Courtyard Brewery, New Orleans, LA
I stopped in at The Courtyard Brewery in New Orleans, Louisiana and enjoyed the How Can Anything Ever End Imperial Brown Ale. This is the first imperial brown ale I have ever enjoyed. It was delicious. Very drinkable. Slightly malty/sweet. I highly recommend this beer.
