I stopped in at Torched Hop Brewing Company in Atlanta, Georgia for dinner and a beer. The Brussels Sprouts on the tasting menu are delicious and the Granny Smith Apple Salad was a perfect and healthy dinner option. And, I had a hard time identifying a singe beer so I tried a flight. I really enjoyed the PowerThirst Pina Colada Kettle Sour – the pina colada flavor comes through and its a crisp and refreshing beer. And the Citrageddon Fresh Hop Pale Ale is an awesome hop-forward pale ale. Great food and great beers!

Pryes Brewing Company, Minneapolis, MN
I stopped in at Pryes Brewing Company in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The most obvious beer to enjoy was the Mirculum IPA. And it did not disappoint. I see why it is an award winner.
Summit Brewing Company, St. Paul, MN
I stopped in at Summit Brewing Company in St. Paul, Minnesota. Their Cranky Woodsman Nut Brown Ale is a really nice brown ale with rich flavors. It has just a hint of smoky flavor. Now, smoke is one of my personal least favorite flavors in beer, however, this is so subtle I really enjoyed it. The Ratskeller is pretty sizeable and does also have an outdoor patio. The food truck looked good but I had already eaten.

Bald Man Brewing, Eagan, MN
I stopped in at Bald Man Brewing in Eagan, Minnesota. The brewery is not too far from the Minneapolis airport. Stopping in was the first thing I did upon leaving the airport. For a Sunday afternoon there was a nice size group of people in the brewery, some were watching sports, all were enjoying good beer. I tried the Spirit in the Sky Strawberry Rhubarb Ale. This was refreshing and both tart and sweet. I really liked the Tupelo Honey Brown Ale. Sweet and malty and delicious. I also felt compelled to purchase a t-shirt for a good friend who is bald, enjoys good beer and brews occasionally.
Adams Street Brewery, Chicago, IL
I stopped in at Adams Street Brewery in Chicago, Illinois and enjoyed the Baby Bock. Nice beer. Smooth. Malty. Not too heavy.
Intrinsic Brewing, Garland, TX
I stopped in at Intrinsic Brewing in Garland, Texas. The only barbeque they had left was sausage. It was delicious. The sides, baked beans, creamed corn, and cole slaw, were also delicious. I asked the bartender for a beer recommendation to pair well with the food and he suggested their Octoberfest. The beer was good. A great end to a long day.
Lakewood Brewing Company, Garland, TX
I stopped in at Lakewood Brewing Company in Garland, Texas. Based on the bartender’s suggestion I tried Temptress and Peanut Butter Temptress. Both of these were delicious. Rich. Smooth. Complex. Sweet. I also tried Lemonale which is really refreshing. The Artsy Tartsy Guava is also tart and tasty. Really great beers!
And these lighted mosaics of water, barley and hops are really cool!
Bitter Sisters Brewing Company, Addison, TX
I stopped in at Bitter Sisters Brewing Company in Addison, Texas. In reviewing the tap list my eyes went right to the Hissy Fit Marzen Lager which the bartender said was an award winning beer and I can see why. This is a smooth and delicious beer. I’m glad I stopped in!
Nine Band Brewing Company, Allen, TX
I stopped in at Nine Band Brewing Company in Allen, Texas. i had heard about this place last night at Lockhart Smokehouse. Lockhart Red Ale is brewed by Nine Band Brewing. I also learned later this evening that the beers featured at Two Row Grill are also brewed by Nine Band Brewing. The most unique beer i had tonight was the Candy Corn Scream Ale. This is a cream ale, which can often be sweet, with extra sweetness and flavor of candy corn. It was pretty sweet but also tasty.
