I stopped in at Hay Camp Brewing Company in Rapid City, South Dakota. Their bourbon barrel aged victory stout is so delicious. Rich. Full of roasted stout flavor and full of bourbon flavor.
I stopped in at Dakota Point Brewing in Rapid City, South Dakota. Rarely do I see Scottish Export and Wee Heavy on the tap list. Both were wonderful. Peat Digger Wee Heavy is rich and caramelly and does have notes of peat in it. Naughty Angus Scottish Export is smooth and delicious. On a cool fall evening these were just perfect.
I stopped in at Lost Cabin Beer Company in Rapid City, South Dakota. I had been to dinner at a local restaurant which was featuring Lost Cabin beers and the server raved about them. For my taste, my favorite was Lord Grizzly Scotch Ale. Rich, caramelly, malty, delicious. The coffee stout is pretty tasty as well.
I stopped in at the Firehouse Brewing Company in Rapid City South Dakota for dinner and a beer. I decided to go with their Swarthy Beaver English Pale and their Stout and Hearty stew. Both tasty. Paired well. Perfect end to the day.
